Shat Gambuj Masjid-UNESCO World Heritage Site

Shat gambuj masjid is located in bagerhat district in the khulna division o southeast of Bangladesh.It's original name is Khalifatabad and nicknamed the "mint town of the Bengal Sultanate".This city was founded by the warrior saint Turkish general Ulugh Khan Jahan.Shat gambuj masjid was constructed with 60 pillars and 77 domes.It is also called Six Pillar Mosque.The mosque also functioned as the court of Khan Jahan Ali. It now attracts a large number of tourists and visitors every year. The mosque is decorated mostly with terracotta and bricks.
